The University of Hertfordshire is a dynamic, modern institution offering challenging and satisfying courses in an atmosphere recognised for its reputation for academic excellence based on an impressive record of achievement in both teaching and research.

There are more than one hundred universities in the UK and the University of Hertfordshire is consistently one of the highest ranked modern universities. It was recently ranked 16th for Engineering and within the top 20 for Business and top 10 for tourism.

The University's international reputation and excellence in teaching attracts students from over 90 different countries around the world. The opportunity to study in a vibrant, multicultural community on a 'green campus' only a 20 min train journey from London makes the University a popular choice for students from around the world.

With three campuses, two in Hatfield and one in St Albans, the University of Hertfordshire offers students some of the best facilities in the UK. The College Lane Campus in Hatfield, a large, self contained site that has developed from the original College that opened in 1952, is complemented by the new £120 million de Havilland Campus situated less that a kilometre away. The St Albans' Campus is home to the University's School of Law and features a specialist Law library and courtroom.
